Pokemon Sun & Moon Demo

So today is another event in the Demo version: "October 30th: Speak to the man inside City Hall. "Guess how many days until my sweet li'l Pikachu's birthday? Just 12! I wonder if someone will help me celebrate," quotes EuroGamer.net.


The reward is a Balm Mushroom that you can transfer to your full copy of Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon when they are released November 18^th.

The next event that will be taking place is the policeman down in the marina, November 5^th, when a "shady deal" of some sort will be going down.

Keeping Busy

Trying to plow through Chapter IV to get those [ugly] Andariel wings (not really, don't want 'em) & the character portrait, which I think is actually really cool. That's the only thing I want from this season... well, that & the legendary set.

Congrats to Smush!

My Season 8 barbarian, Smush, can now handle Torment 4 solo! Just completed a level 12 Greater Rift while shooting for the level 20 GR solo accomplishment to finish out the season rewards for wings & portrait. I've got 2/3 of the Immortal King's Call set, just missing 3 pieces.

World of Final Fantasy

Day One Edition (yay Sephiroth!)

Just got this game yesterday & I love it! Is it basically Pokemon? Yes. Does that change how I feel about it? No! It's super cute & the story so far, albeit predictable, is nice. I like the zones, the characters, it's a really good game for someone like me who's never really played anything Final Fantasy before.

My husband says he has zero intention of playing it, but he said that about Pokemon, too. :P

*while I didn't get Graw the Herald for the Harvest banner, I did find Regreb the Slayer who drops a nice 2-handed axe called the King Maker.

So... I keep farming while getting myself up to 70 in this new season...

Hello!

I'd just like to take a moment to welcome everyone to Midnight Grind.

This all started when I was playing Pokemon Alpha Sapphire to try & snag the legendaries for my husband, in hopes of surprising him when he opened his PC to see that everything he'd been missing was suddenly there. Then, I thought, "Well why stop there?" so I started playing Diablo 3 with him logged in & in my party as I started farming the Falcon's wings.

So now this is what I'm about: grabbing rare/cool things to surprise my husband with. I try to farm in Diablo 3 for a few hours a day, just in case I get lucky, & so far I've managed to get the Falcon's wings after 47 tries & the Liv Moore pet after only 10 tries.

Gobo Farming Run #11

Trying to stay positive! I've never seen 2 gobos in one place like this unless it was a rift, lol.

10 Runs

Grabbed some soup, waiting for it to cool a little, jumped into Weeping Hollow, started the run, & I see this in the chatbox:

I start spirit walking all over the place trying to find it, & then poof! There it is. Killed it, & am the proud owner of Liv Moore, & I made sure my husband was in game with me, so he has it, too.

That's what this blog is about, after all! Helping him out.

(I stay home for work & he doesn't, so I play a little Dia on my off time).

10 runs was all it took. Phew! Now, to get that Rainbow Portrait & those beautiful Cosmic Wings.

3 runs in & so far 1 Whimsydale portal, but no Princess Lilian so no wings.

Going to have some late breakfast & then back to the grind!

On Hold

So my husband decided to update his computer to OS Sierra, & so I can't log him in until that's done.

In the meantime, then, I'm doing some bounties. ^^

6 Runs

Well, I've done 6 runs today (Weeping Hollow, Southern Highlands, Cave of the Moon Clan 1 & 2, Northern Highlands, Royal Crypts, & Whimsyshire) & so far all I've gotten is the level 70 Spectrum sword, which is still pretty awesome, so I'm going to call this a great day. :)

Farming Update!

All right, rather than farm for just one thing, I'm farming for a few things simultaneously, using a well-known farming run:

1. Weeping Hollow - Liv Moore
2. Southern Highlands - Menagerist Goblin
3. Cave of the Moon Clan, levels 1 & 2 - Menagerist Goblin
4. Northern Highlands - Menagerist Goblin
5. Royal Crypts - any goblin
6. Whimsyshire - Rainbow Portrait

I'm also using this run to look for any Rainbow Goblins for a portal to Whimsydale to get the Cosmic Wings.

Next Project!

So! I've decided what my next farming run will be, & from what I've read, it's not going to be easy.

GOT IT

FINALLY! Oh my goodness!

Started at about 10pm & finally got the chest at around 4:30am. After 47 attempts, my husband & I finally have the Falcon Wings.

40 chest runs

It's 3:33 AM & still no wings. I know it can take a while -- 8 hours was the longest I've heard of -- but wow! Really makes me glad that, when you do find the chest, it's 100% drop rate.

Still... am I going to find this thing before 50 runs? Or maybe *gasp* 100? I really hope it's not 100, but if it is, it is, & hopefully my husband will thank me when he sees them in his inventory.

30 chest runs for the falcon wings & all I have to show for it is 7 legendaries, 1 missed Menagerist, & 1 missed Blood Thief. :(

Missed GOBO

So because one of my cats decided to stretch while I was on a wing run, I missed a Menagerist Goblin. FML.

Falcon Wings

So I'm hunting these stupid (pretty!) things for my husband & I. Hopefully I'll remember to log him in when I find that darn chest.

For those who don't know, Diablo 3 has falcon's wings that your character can wear. They're found in Gardens of Hope Tier 1 in a chest labeled Mysterious Chest. It looks like ANY OTHER chest, so please make sure you don't skim over it!
