Tada!

Surprise!
That’s right! Pathfinder is coming to the Midnight Grind!
I am super excited for this announcement because after some years, my husband has (finally!) agreed to play a pencil/paper game with not only myself but my best friend and her boyfriend. A clumsy 3-person party that’s just starting out their adventures together… what could possibly go wrong?

Schedule!

It's that time again, time for me to say I'm going to make a schedule, but! This time, I actually have about 10 posts in the queue and set to post on Thursdays. 😀

I may be able to have another day for posts, but right now once a week seems fairly adequate, at least while I get into the swing of things with a regular schedule and making things in advance. I currently have posts scheduled all the way to the middle of March so hopefully I can keep it up. ^^

Wish me luck!

Hi!

No Pathfinder this week, sorry! Our GM is off on a work trip but everything should be up and running by next week. ^^

Hopefully you're enjoying our silly escapades as much as we are doing them.

I know it's not the same as watching them, like Critical Role, but it's the best we can do right now since not everyone is comfortable being on video or even with roleplaying in general. We're all still getting the hang of things, each other, you know how it goes. See you next week!

Campaign 2.0

All right, here we have an all-new campaign with the same players! The first one was really a "Welcome to Pathfinder" sort of thing to start with, but now we're on a real adventure! (Still not sure if that's a good or bad thing, lol) Here we go!

That's right, we're running a high-seas, high-stakes adventure!

I suppose I should mention that, even though I said we have the same players, there has been a change.

See, our druid Hedwig wasn't originally playing with us. For this campaign, however, we're just going with the "he's been there the whole time" thing.

Now with that out of the way, let us begin the adventure!

1st Campaign!

So it's our first game ever. We're a party of 3 going through a simple zone just to understand the mechanics & things, you know, Paizo's Beginner Box: go to cave, kill some goblins.

At the entrance of the cave, the three of us meet. A gargoyle, a ratfolk, & a tiefling. As we make our introductions, we find we all have one thing in common: we're all only here for the money clearing this cave will bring. Sounds promising. What could possibly go wrong?

Short story? A lot.

We go into the cave, encounter some goblins, kill them, & the gargoyle takes one of the heads of said goblins. I think nothing of this. Why would I?

Anyway, we get to the cave with the goblin king & this darn gargoyle pulls out the head. Splits it open with his bare hands. (Rolls natural 19 on intimidation)

GM: "Yeah they're.... they're fucking terrified."

Cue mass slaughter of goblins.

.

.
.

Towards the end of the cave, there's a black dragon. Shit. Shitshitshit. We're level 1, what the heck? We start attacking, because, what else are we going to do?

GM: "Yeah, you weren't supposed to kill the goblin king, you were supposed to talk to him & he was going to tell you to aim for the dragon's belly so... so that's a thing you know now."

Dragon flies away.

GM: "After about 25 points of damage, he's supposed to fly away but... but you guys damn near killed him. Congratulations."

Yeah. The one-shot ends, we get paid, go our separate ways.

Until the next.

Oh? o.O

What's this? Maybe I should just leave this here & see what hatches?

1-3-2018

new weapon for my Season 12 Necromancer, Ikrani

sad way to start the New Year

So... while I'm upset that the Darkening of Tristram event is just the same as last year's, I am glad to see it back. It gives me that feeling of, "Hey, something special to break up the monotony!"

I mean really, how many times can I run a season from 1-70 and not be bored out of my mind? I came back to Diablo 3 on the 1st for the anniversary event, yet quickly found out that it's the exact same as last year's. No new pet, nothing. No new incentive to come back to fight the minions of hell. I can't keep playing seasons only to be stuck in the Greater Rift grind over and over again.

I'd love to see more events, but really what I want to see is more story. We got these new realms to Act 4, but what are they? How do they fit in the story?

What about Kingsport? Will we ever get to go there and explore it with a map of its own?

I love the new zones, but all of this focus on seasons, grinding, hunting down Primal Ancient weapons... which I can't even get because I can't clear the required grift level... you're adding aspects I can't even achieve, and really... why do I need to hunt these things down? There's no super-hard content that requires these weapons, aside from higher torment difficulties.

Before, there was the promise of Uber bosses with epic loot/crafting capabilities, but now? There's no reason to farm super powerful stuff.

I'm really sorry, but I'm falling out of love, Diablo 3. I hope you give me a reason to stay.

Diablo 4 Open Beta

Pleased to say we were able to play the Open Beta of Diablo 4  & I must be honest, it was worse than last weekend. So many bugs/errors, ...
