Just what is Blizzard trying to do? From what I understand, people really don't like the new patch (I haven't looked into it myself) and are saying this is a desperate move on Blizzard's part. This doesn't surprise me, really, after everything they've been doing with firing en masse, partnering up with Activision, and just not listening to their player base in general. Still, there's no way I would pay for 6 months' game time when I could just do $25 and no commitment, you know? I'm not sure if I could be persuaded to play again after all this.

And I don't mean this like, "Uhuhuhu, you're losing me as a customer, whatchu gonna do now?" it's just a statement is all. I just don't like the direction WoW has gone and I'm not sure yet what Diablo 4 may hold, but I'll definitely be researching that soon to put in my two cents.

Slump?

Sorry to say that I've been in a bit of a writing slump ever since arriving at my grandparents' place. Thankfully I have my buffer, but I only have 2 chapters left in it. I'm still working to finish chapter 8, so hopefully I can get that done and start wracking up a bit more of a cushion between published chapters and those waiting to be published because I've really liked having it.

Chapter 6 of Mirror of Manacles will update Wednesday July 3^rd.

Mirror of Manacles 5/?

Caleb found it hard to swallow around the lump in his throat, mouth having gone dry as he watched this ‘Shadowhand’ search the living room. He was methodical, going so far as to use magic while he searched.

He did find it strange, however, that if this Shadowhand was as high-ranking as he seemed, why were people barging into his house at all hours of the night? Did the Kryn not have locks on their doors? Perhaps they were too assured of their own abilities to bother using them? Except, that didn’t seem to be the case.

Sad Update

Hey guys, bit of a sad update:

My grandfather (75) is in the hospital again with a temperature of 103.5.

My grandmother (74) tucked him in to bed but at 8:30 am he went into shock and she had no choice but to call 911 for an ambulance.

His temperature keeps fluctuating, and it’s finally below 100, but he’s lost 3 pounds already.

Yesterday they said he tested positive for MRSA, but they don’t know what caused it. They’ve got him on a bunch of antibiotics, so my grandmother is worried he may get C. Diff. if they’re not careful (my husband had it just after we started dating - it’s terrible & nearly killed him 3 times).

I already have 8 chapters of Mirror of Manacles written, and I’ll try to keep writing more as I can, but this is… a lot. My husband and I are going to be flying out on the 11th to help out my grandmother, just doing things around the house, cooking, cleaning, anything she may ask of us (she won’t, but we’re still offering). Then my husband will be flying back to our house while I stay behind to help where I can.

Sorry to ramble on, I’m just really shaken and hoping I can keep uploading chapters for you guys on Wednesdays.

I do have a Ko-Fi, with a goal of raising just $50 to help with costs (groceries, supplies, maybe some flowers?).

Anything helps, I greatly appreciate it, thank you!

Vacation

Just wanted to update you guys, from July 7th-11th I'll be on vacation. Starting on the afternoon of the 11th I'll be back in my hometown to help out my family during some difficulties. The internet sucks, but the point is to give them some help and not do gaming or anything like that... which is unfortunate, with Diablo season 17 going on, but my husband will be stepping in to help me out with that while I'm gone.
